New Surgeon Onboard at Eastern Long Island Hospital

There's a new surgeon on the team at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport.

ELIH recently announced the appointment of John M. Cosgrove, MD, the newest surgeon to join the team of physicians at the facility.

Dr. Cosgrove brings 30 years of experience to the proverbial table; he most recently  served as Chairman of Surgery and Residency Program Director for Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

In addition, his hospital affiliations have included leadership positions in the North Shore University Hospital System.

Of Dr. Cosgrove, winner of the Castle Connolly Top Doctors: New York Metro Area 2012, ELIH representatives, in a release said, "Dr. Cosgrove is well-respected by peers and patients alike."

A Harvard graduate, Dr. Cosgrove received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed an internship and residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, and served as Chief Resident in the Department of Surgery.
