"I'm feling very honored and excited," Cardinale said. "I absolutely and sincerely love living and being a part of the North Fork. I always say 'We are so blessed to live here', so it was honestly very touching to have been chosen by the community that I adore."

“We expanded our company to the North Fork just a few years ago determined to be number one in sales and Donielle has been instrumental in helping us pursue that goal," said Carol Tintle, East End regional manager for Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. "Our ability to leverage our strategic alliances with Sotheby's and Sotheby's International Realty is important in today's global real estate market, and Donielle has the knowledge and skills for this additional responsibility.”

Cardinale's family began spending summers  on the North Fork in the 1940s, and settled in Southold permanently in 1978. Cardinale is also a licensed appraiser and commercial services coordinator, and, as an equestrian who's competed on the national canvas, has experience with horse properties, the agency said.
