The Business of the Year is Strong's Marine.

A familiar North Fork face is being honored for the second time in a matter of days.

The Mattituck Chamber of Commerce announced recently that they have chosen Donielle Cardinale as Person of the Year.

"I'm feling very honored and excited," Cardinale said. "I absolutely and sincerely love living and being a part of the North Fork. I always say 'We are so blessed to live here', so it was honestly very touching to have been chosen by the community that I adore."

This year's Business of the Year is Strong's Marine.

The chosen will be honored at the Chamber's Annual Holiday Party on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at Vineyard Caterers. Contact Janet Stewart at Suffolk County National Bank in Mattituck to purchase tickets.;$45 per person.

This was the second honor in two weeks for Cardinale: Last week, Cardinale, a Mattituck realtor, received  a high-profile promotion.

Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty recently appointed sales associate and Mattituck local Donielle Cardinale as an associate director of its Sotheby’s International Realty program.

Cardinale will continue to work out of the agency's Mattituck office, covering the North Fork.

“We expanded our company to the North Fork just a few years ago determined to be number one in sales and Donielle has been instrumental in helping us pursue that goal," said Carol Tintle, East End regional manager for Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. "Our ability to leverage our strategic alliances with Sotheby's and Sotheby's International Realty is important in today's global real estate market, and Donielle has the knowledge and skills for this additional responsibility.”

Cardinale's family began spending summers  on the North Fork in the 1940s, and settled in Southold permanently in 1978. Cardinale is also a licensed appraiser and commercial services coordinator, and, as an equestrian who's competed on the national canvas, has experience with horse properties, the agency said.
