Long Island Restaurant Week is Under Way on the North Fork

Several North Fork restaurants are participating in the sixth annual Long Island week-long event.

Long Island including the East End will be served dishes from some of the finest restaurants for a low price of $24.95 during the which started this past Sunday and will run through Nov. 13. 

Included in the prix fixe menu for the price will be a three-course meal all night, every night except Saturdays when prix fixe dinners will be served only until 7 p.m. 

Restaurant Week began on the East End in 2003, organized by the local public relations firm WordHampton. Its marketing success prompted an annual Long Island week of affordable meals from top chefs at some of the most expensive restaurants.WordHampton also runs a Hamptons Restaurant Week in March to help bolster business for resturants during the off-season.
