Just two months after opening an oil and vinegar tasting room business, called Vines and Branches, in the heart of Greenport, Rita Winkler has decided to expand into Westhampton Beach.
"I have a unique concept that I think will work well on the South Fork and in a walking village like Westhampton Beach," said Winkler.
Winkler says her business features a tasking room filled with some 45 varieties of extra virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars, specialty food products, sea salts, spices and olive oil-based skin care products.
All, she said, will also be offered at her new Westhampton Beach location at 8 Moniebogue Ln., starting June 22.
"It is a great location and the building is a perfect size," said Winkler.
Winkler, who has a 15-year background in winery sales, says she was inspired to start her business after learning about health benefits associated with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
"I felt a calling to share some great information, products and health benefits with the consumers," she said.
Winkler said she plans to keep the Westhampton Beach location open seven days a week, but is still working on times.
