“PINK ROCK CLASSIC” AT BLACKWELLS RESTAURANT & GREAT ROCK GOLF CLUB

Blackwells Restaurant will host the fifth annual “Pink Rock Classic” event on Thursday, October 6.  “Pink Rock Classic,” founded by Walter Hurney, Partner at Great Rock Golf Club and Blackwells Restaurant, is dedicated to helping breast cancer patients and their families.  The event was created to provide awareness for this disease and financial support to breast cancer patients while offering a day of networking and world-class golf and dining.  All proceeds go to The Fund For Uninsured Women at The Fortunato Breast Health Center and Breast Cancer Treatment Services at Mather Hospital.  The event includes golf play (registration begins at 11:30 a.m.), 11:30 a.m. lunch, 1 p.m. shotgun tournament, 5 p.m. cocktail hour and 6 p.m. grand buffet dinner.  Reservations can be made for individual golfers at $275 each, a foursome for $1000 or dinners and cocktails only for $125 each.

To register for the Pink Rock Golf Classic, call 631-476-2723 or visit www.thepinkrock.org.

In 2010, “Pink Rock Classic” raised over $75,000 for The Fund For Uninsured Women at The Fortunato Breast Health Center.  The clinic serves thousands of Long Island women each year providing them with state-of-the-art breast screenings and diagnostic procedures, patient and family care, community education and complete follow-up care.  This particular fund provides women who do not have health insurance with these much-needed services.
