East End Jazz has at its core a great rhythm section specializing in jazz interpretations of the “Great American Songbook”. The trio has been performing on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Blackwell’s in Wading River for the past three years.
Pianist Larry Pearlstein, Bassist Bob Hartz and Percussionist Ed Balsamo have all been in the New York music scene for over forty years and are credited with performing with such artists as Clark Terry, Billy Taylor, Phil Woods, Thad Jones, Billy Watrous, Frank Foster and Lou Marini. In addition, Alto Sax player Mr. Leo Ursini will be joining the trio at Waters Crest. His credentials are too numerous to mention. Suffice it to say, he worked with Sinatra ‘Old Blue Eyes’ himself, among a myriad of others. $15 pp includes glass of wine.
