One local eatery owner is helping parents save at a pricey time of year.
With parents staring down long back-to-school supply lists and having to ante up for pricey calculators, backpacks, and new sneakers, every penny counts.
That's why Marc LaMaina, owner of Lucharitos in Greenport, has a tasty back-to-school deal sure to please, available through Thursday.
LaMaina has a slogan: "Helping local parents, one taco at a time."
To that end, he's offering a back-to-school special, where kids can eat free.
On the menu are a selection of tacos, burritos, and nachos. His "classroom rules" indicate that up to two children under the age of 12 can eat free from the kids' menu for each paying adult.
The special is available daily from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
