Gutsy Montauk guitarist to play Mattituck restaurant Friday night.
Guitarist and singer Nancy Atlas is a familiar face of the East End music scene and never fails to get any local crowd to their feet.
She and her band, aptly named the Nancy Atlas project, will play Friday night at the Old Mill Inn in Mattituck. A native of Commack, Atlas studied art and history abroad in Europe before coming back to her roots to pursue a gutsy musical style, a mix of country, blues and rock 'n' roll — definitely a style to get the party going. She has opened for the likes of Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Buffett, and Crosby, Stills and Nash to name a few.
A resident of Montauk, Nancy is an avid songwriter, clammer, surfer and big fan of East End living.
