Cross Sound Ferry Resumes Service Sunday

There will, however, be no casino connections on Sunday.

A day after a massive storm pummeled the North Fork, the Cross Sound Ferry resumed service on Sunday.

One ferry, the 7:30 a.m. ferry out of Orient, was cancelled -- and there will be no casino connections on Sunday.

However, all other ferry service is back to normal on Sunday, according to Cross Sound Ferry officials.

With the high winds of the fierce winter storm whipping up the Long Island Sound, the Cross Sound Ferry company cancelled all Friday auto ferry service to and from New London and Orient Point, according to the company's website.

Friday and Saturday trips to and from the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos have also been cancelled, and service remained suspended on Saturday.
