#96: Winterfest's Jazz on the Vine

You can attend several high-quality concerts and music-related seminars throughout the North Fork and Riverhead this winter.

One of the unique things about living on the North Fork is the diverse amount of things to do, regardless of your interests. But Winterfest's Jazz on the Vine concert series is something for the grown ups, although surely children could come and enjoy the music as well.

The North Fork and Riverhead boast dozens of vineyards which have boomed over the past few decades, some of which are truly beautiful places to visit all year round.

Created to boost patronage to the wineries in typically off-season time, the annual Winterfest was created. Running from Feb. 12 through March 20, this is wonderful collection of events is enjoying its fourth winter running. There are over 50 concerts to choose from at participating locations. For a $10 door fee, you can get a glass of wine and enjoy some jazz and entertainment at your local wineries.

This is a great way to spend a late winter afternoon or evening — no summer traffic and great entertainmen. Enjoy a relaxing time while taking in the serene beauty of the vineyards.

Even though this is an East End-wide event, most of the events take place on the North Fork and in Riverhead:
