Billy's Bite : Gearing Up for Opening Day

So here we are again, at long last and finally, it is April on the North Fork and Billy’s By The Bay is prepping to open on Tuesday, April 15. This should ease the sting of Tax Day a little; with some joy at the colorful little tiki bar in the boatyard. Old friends and new drift in like the tide from wherever it was they passed this long winter and it will seem like we saw them just yesterday. The light is getting stronger recently and Memorial Day is rolling in right around the corner. Soon there will be July 4th Fireworks, lazy summer days, boating and fishing, music and Maritime Festivals and Billy’s is the perfect little place to watch it all go by.

Many tales of the North Fork travel through Billy's in a season and now Billy Senior and Junior are starting their fifth year by welcoming everybody:  families, farmers, fishermen, tradesmen, tourists, locals and the like, to another wonderful season on the North Fork. After Opening Day is the Horseradish Party on Friday, April 18.  Shrimp Cocktail, Kielbasa, Pierogies, Polka and Beer. And Oysters.  Some vodka too, maybe.  A tent.  A band.  Some good times to get this season going… we’ll keep you posted.
