PHOTOS: Artsy Craftsy Festival in New Suffolk

Proceeds from two-day event to benefit the New Suffolk Waterfront Fund.

It's arts and crafts with a water view this weekend at the New Suffolk Fun-Key, Artsy-Crafty Festival.

Lauren Grant of New Suffolk organized the second annual two-day fair, which boasts more than a dozen booths, BBQ food and live music.

"It's a very laid back event," she said.

Grant chooses vendors, most of whom offer unique, homemade items such a Hap's Ironworks metal sculptures and recycle glass paintings from NorthForkArts.com.

Proceeds from vendor booths, kids crafts and the bake sale will benefit the New Suffolk Waterfront Fund.

The fair continues Saturday until 4 p.m. and will be open again from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the New Suffolk Waterfront, located at New Suffolk Avenue and First Street.

About the Fund

According to their website, the mission of the fund is:

To preserve and protect New Suffolk’s unique and historic waterfront in ways which respect the property’s scenic beauty and maritime heritage.

To support recreational, educational and commercial activities on the site which enhance community life and are environmentally sustainable for both the uplands and the bay.

To assure public access opportunities now and for future generations.
