March 30: Blood Drive, Recycle Art, Latin Aerobics

Give blood and, depending on your religion, hold off on reinstating your bad habits for just a little longer today.

Earth Day activities begin, a fire department hosts a blood drive and Lenten services continue on Wednesday.

1. Give blood today at the , 55135 Route 25 in Southold, from 2:15 to 8:15 p.m. Donors must be between the ages of 16 and 76, be in good health and have a photo I.D. Call 631-477-1273 for more information.

2. With Earth Day coming up, children in kindergarten and first grade will have the opportunity to be artists and learn about recycling at the , 13900 Route 25 in Mattituck, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. The kids will be encouraged to create Picasso-inspired art out of recycled material. Call 631-298-4134.

3. Ecumenical Lenten Service will be held at , 621 Main Street in Greenport, at 11 a.m. today. Go to http://www.nyac.com/churches/detail/1761 or call 631-477-0497.

4. Get your Ricky Martin on at in Greenport this morning during a session of Latin aerobics at 9 a.m. The session for adults only is $10 or $5 if you are enrolled in other programs. Call 631-477-1380.
