Gawler Sisters Concert Benefits WPPB

April 20 show to be held at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.

One East End nonprofit will help another on April 20 as the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center hosts a concert by The Gawler Sisters & Family to benefit Peconic Public Broadcasting, 88.3 FM.

Known as WPPB, the public radio station's studio is located in Southampton Village.  The station is the successor to WLIU, which was located on the college campus in Shinnecock Hills.

The Gawler Sisters, taking the stage with their parents and spouses, perform folk music with Scots-Irish, Franco-American and Scandinavian influences. "With an infectious spirit and sparkling musicianship, the trio and family create a sense of community and grassroots connection that is welcoming and from the heart," according to the performance arts center.
