Plant & Sing 2012 is a family-friendly festival featuring music, readings and poetry, singing, dancing, storytelling, harvesting, food events, activities for children, and eating! A musical line-up of East End musicians will play, along with this year's headliner Bela Fleck! Literary will include readings of poems and stories, comedy, and a drama production of local playwrite Joe Pintauro's "Heaven and Earth". Food events will embrace the "farm to table" experience with cooking demos and master classes with notable chefs using local produce. All the while the kids will be entertained with face painting, arts and craft activities, games, animal tours and nature hikes. Proceeds from the Festival will contribute to Sylvester Manor Farm and its educational programs, which connect the community with history, food and culture.
