Alex Sipiagin Live at Peconic Bay Winery

Peconic Bay Winery is pleased to announce a special concert event with one of the world’s greatest living Jazz Trumpeters, Alex Sipiagin. Mr. Sipiagin will play with his quintet, which includes Seamus Blake, Dave Kikoski, Nate Smith and Boris Kozlov in the lineup.

Mr. Sipiagin is currently touring the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Japan and has only one Long Island performance this year. Alex moved from Russia to the U.S. in 1991 and began his career shortly thereafter. His first gigs in the U.S. were with the Gil Evans Band and George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band. He has played with Dave Holland, Mingus Big Band, Michael Brecker, Mulgrew Miller and many others. Alex has recorded twelve albums as a leader, mainly for the Criss Cross Jazz label. He is married to singer Monday Michiru and frequently plays with her band.

 Admission for this historic show is free with a reservation($10 per person without a reservation).

Wine, beer, fresh oysters and cheese plates will be available for purchase. Attendees are welcome to bring a discreet amount of food with them for a $5 clean up charge, waived with any food purchase.

The performance is free to wine club members of either Peconic Bay Winery or Empire State Cellars in Tanger Mall. Members are asked to make a reservation with Megan@peconicbaywinery.com Young children and pets are not encouraged for this performance, except those very well behaved. The show will be recorded for later broadcast. No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted
