What's Open in the Area for Last-Minute Must Haves On Thanksgiving

Need milk? Here's where to go.

If you're right in the middle of making your stuffing and need an onion, it's good to know that something's open on Thanksgiving.

Here's a list of some shops that are open on the North Fork and in Riverhead on Thanksgiving for last-minute ingredients, pies, and other necessities. If your business is open and it's not listed, add it to the comments section below.

IGA, Greenport: Open on Thanksgiving from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.

IGA, Southold: Open on Thanksgiving from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

King Cullen, Cutchogue: Doors open at 7 a.m. and close at 3 p.m.

King Cullen, Riverhead: Open from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Waldbaum's, Mattituck: Open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

7-Eleven: Open at all locations 24/7 in Greenport, Southold, Cutchogue, Mattituck and Riverhead

Country View Farmstand, Southold: Open until 1 p.m. for a delicious home-baked pies in an array of flavors including pumpkin, apple, chocolate cream, coconut custard, lemon meringue, and sugar-free options such as cherry. Fresh vegetables, too. 75995 Main Road. Plenty for walk-ins.

Grateful Deli, Southold: Open all morning until at least 1 p.m. so Dad can buy the kids breakfast while mom cooks. 55700 Route 25.

Walmart in Riverhead: Open 24 hours, beginning at 7 a.m.

After the dishes are done, Black Friday begins in full force at Tanger in Riverhead, opening at 10 p.m. with a full slate of sales and savings. Click here for a complete guide.

Thanksgiving in a national holiday; all government offices, banks, and schools are closed. There is no mail delivery on  Thanksgiving.
