What is the Biggest Problem On North Fork Roads?

Patch wants you to weigh in on the biggest challenges facing North Fork motorists this summer.

With summer weekends bringing scores of visitors to the sleepy North Fork, roads have become congested and police reports reflect an uptick in accidents and driving while intoxicated charges.

What do you think is the biggest issue on North Fork roads today? Is it the hundreds of bicyclists who hit the North Fork roads for the flat terrain and bucolic vistas?

Or is the proliferation of deer that dart out into roadways, sometimes causing serious accidents, such as the motorcycle crash on Route 48 in Peconic on Sunday?

Finally, do you think drunk drivers are the primary concern?

What do you think is the most serious problem on North Fork roads — and what can be done to fix it? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
