Weekend Spotlight: 'As You Like It' at Sylvester Manor

Have you ever seen an environmentally friendly performance of Shakespeare?

See a work of the master playwright as it probably was back in his time with a performance of at , located at 80 Route 114 on Shelter Island, on Saturday and Sunday at 5 p.m. each night.

The performances will take place in the shadow of the island's historic windmill, and Sunday will feature an afternoon theatre workshop for children.

Green Theatre Collective – an eco-theatre company that seeks to produce sustainable theatre in outdoor environments – is putting on the show. The company has only seven actors taking on multiple roles. Crudités baskets from Sylvester Manor Educational Farm will be available for sale for your picnic.
