Nothing conjures up images of summer better than a carnival, complete with deep-fried Oreos, games of chance, and rides for the kids.
The Greenport Fire Department's Relief Hose Co. and Phenix Hook & Ladder Co. will host its annual summer carnival through July 6, opening at 6:00 p.m. nightly at the polo grounds on Moores Lane off Route 25.
Pay-one-price specials will be available. Fireworks will take place on Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 p.m.
Rides, games, a midway, and food will be available.
