Santa’s been a busy man this weekend, hopping all over the North Fork, from Saturday’s appearances at the Mattituck Shopping Plaza and the Southold Recreation Center to Sunday’s afternoon visit to the Greenport Railroad museum.
Since train service is cut this time of year to Greenport, Santa rode in a historic “speeder” railroad car (a small trailer that had been used for track inspections decades ago), which was pulled by a truck driven by museums volunteers. Santa will visit the railroad museum in Riverhead next weekend from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Go to www.rmli.us for more information.
