Question: What Happened to the 'Cable Crossing' Utility Shack?
The brick utility building is gone along with the 'Cable Crossing' signs for boaters.
On a Sunday walk down the beach at Orient Point, we noticed that the famous "Cable Crossing" utility building at the very end of the point before Plum Gut and its lighthouse is gone. Does anyone know when and why this was taken down?
