The Frugal Family: Find Deals at Mattituck Businesses
North Fork Patch spent some time at the Waldbuam's Shopping Center in Mattituck before heading over to Love Lane in search of deals, bargains and just great values for our readers.
This week North Fork Patch went to Mattituck looking for great deals for you and your family. We found them at Waldbaum’s Shopping Center on Route 25 and on Love Lane.
1. If you are looking for a bargain lunch or dinner stop in at . The restaurant is located right next to the movie theater in Waldbaum’s Shopping Center. You can get a lunch special, advertised daily on the sandwich board on the sidewalk right outside, for as little as $6.95. The special includes your choice of soup or egg roll and the main course. 2. Hit the on a Sunday afternoon. The first show is a bargain at $7 instead of the regular $10 price of admission. You save $3 and that means more money for candy and popcorn. It could also go in your piggy bank when you get home.

3. Tuna is on sale this week at where you can get five cans for $4.00. Stock up, use your Waldbaum’s card and add a few more screaming deals on food to your shopping cart while you are here. Don’t miss the Russell Stover candy, conveniently gift wrapped and on sale for $8.99. Valentine’s Day is coming and it is never too late or too early or too soon to eat chocolate. Nice to have on hand during a snowstorm while you watch movies on tv and snuggle up under a polar fleece blanket until the storm is over.
4. You can buy the most adorable Valentine’s socks at while you are in the shopping center. Use your Rite Aide discount card and they will cost you $2.50 a pair instead of $3 They come in colors, red, pink or black with tiny silver hearts all over them. The socks are very girly yet practical and great from Moms and their little sweetheart daughters.

5. If you want to get your hair done and are tired of paying New York City salon prices go to Michelle’s Beauty Salon at 400 Love Lane. You can get your hair colored and cut, shampooed and styled, including a blow dry, for $62.00. Call for an appointment. This is the mother of all deals.
