Volunteers are needed for the ELIH Auxiliary.

2013 was a good year for the Eastern Long Island Hospital Auxiliary, with donations the highest ever, at $372,000.

The latest end-of-year installment alone was $86,000 from the ELIH Auxiliary.

“2013 is a record-breaking year thanks to the many volunteers who commit so much time and energy to their community hospital,” Paul J. Connor III, President/ CEO, said.  “Eastern Long Island Hospital is extremely grateful for the dedication and continuous support of this highly spirited group.”

The ELIH Auxiliary consists of nearly 300 members, who contribute approximately 25,000 volunteer hours annually.

ELIH is in need of volunteers looking for short-term assignments during the winter months. The additional coverage is needed because of the number of volunteers who head for warmer climates in January, February and March.
