Hospital: Doc to Talk Pain Relief, New Trustee Appointed to Board

Eastern Long Island Hospital's head of pain management to give lecture next week and the Board of Trustees welcomes a new member.

If you’re suffering from chronic pain, you might be interested in attending a lecture from Dr. Frank Adipietro, Eastern Long Island Hospital’s interventional pain specialist, at Peconic Landing in Greenport next Tuesday from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Dr. Adipietro, a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management of the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians, will explain new techniques available at the hospital to relieve all types of chronic pain, signals of which can remain active in your nervous system for weeks, months, or even years.

Eastern Long Island Hospital, for instance, recently introduced Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression, or the MILD procedure, which had become a viable alternative to open back surgery.
