Why Go: Beverly Cleary tells great stories. This movie is based on her characters and makes for great fun. The movie is rated G.

Where/When: Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library.
Why Go: Got a crafty kid? This class will teach children how to make creative greeting cards.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: Thursday and Friday morning at 11 a.m.
Why Go: Owner Liz Karsch makes it fun for kids (and adults) to learn how to paint pottery. She will give out tips to the kids on certain techniques and, well, the mess is at the shop and not at your house.
Pricing: $25-$35. Call to reserve a spot.

Where/When: Starts at 6 p.m. on Friday night at Atlantis Marine World
Why Go: Grab your sleeping bags and head out to Atlantis in Riverhead. Your family really will get to sleep with the fishes. How cool is that?
Pricing: $40 for members/$60 for non-members

Why Go: Children will get to create their own work of art and take it home.

Where/When: Mitchell Park Ice Rink in Greenport. Hours on Saturday are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go: It’s getting near the end of February and if you haven’t made it down to the rink, you should before it gets too warm.
Pricing: Weekend rates are $6 for kids/ $10 for adults/ $2 for skate rental
