Fortune Teller To Read Palms, Tarot Cards At Shinn Estate Vineyards

Now wine enthusiasts can sip a glass of vino and peer into their futures, all at the same time.

Pamela Reed, a Greenport psychic who set up shop in the village in May, will be doing palm and psychic readings at Shinn Estate Vineyards in Mattituck on Friday nights from 5 to 8 p.m. The readings will begin again in three weeks after a brief hiatus.

Reed said she plans to do palm readings, as well as Tarot card readings.

She plans to do both basic and in-depth variations of the readings.

"People like to have a choice, variety," Reed said.

Her readings, Reed said, run the gamut, from past, present and future to business, life, love, affairs, sickness, health, love and relationships.

Reed said she can also delve more deeply and give detailed readings that include specifics such as times, dates, names and places.

The events at Shinn, she said, will also help boost business at her Greenport location.

Readings at Shinn will run from $20 to $50. "This gives people an idea of what I do," she said.

Wines by the glass and bottle will be served, as well as cheese plates, during the readings.

Her work, Reed said, is fulfilling. "I enjoy helping people. I've always been a people person and I enjoy giving people direction," she said. "Sometimes we go astray on our path in life and need someone to give direction, to help us find our way and get back on track."

Clients come to Reed with questions about whether they should open a business, stay in their current career, or whether their relationship is good for them. They also ask about whether or not they will one day have children, she said.

"I give people understanding and hope," she said.

At her Greenport business, located on Front Street, the New Age spiritual psychic said she helps clients to heal and rise to their full spiritual potential. 

Rees offers palm, Tarot, psychic, and crystal readings as well as aura counseling. A combination reading is another option. 

Aromatherapy is also on the agenda to help rid negative energy and help customers restore a positive energy field. 

Reed, who has another business in Queens, was thrilled to set up shop in Greenport. "I love Greenport," she told Patch in June. "It's a very warm and comforting place."

Reed waited until her children were grown before opening her new business.
