Family Nature Scavenger Hunt Planned for Downs Farm Preserve
Let the kids enjoy a scavenger hunt along with music and outdoor fun.
Mark your calendars: The Southold Mothers' Club is teaming up with Group for the East and Lyrical Children for the first-ever Family Nature Scavenger Hunt.
The event, which will be held on Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will take place in the woodlands at the Downs Farm Preserve on Route 25 in Cutchogue. The last scavenger hunt will take place at 1:30 p.m.; a rain date is set for Oct. 27.
Music and nature will create a backdrop for the first-annual event; registration is recommended. To register, email tuthill1@aol.com or mweiss@eastendenvironment.org. There's a suggested family donation of $5; all ages are welcome.
