Event Preview: Concert Benefits Musician With Rare Leukemia

The concert will be held on March 23 at Guild Hall in East Hampton.

To help a fellow bandmate, members of Bridgehampton's Great Caesar's Ghost Band are holding a benefit concert for Ray Penney of Southold.

The concert is scheduled for Friday, March 23, at 8 p.m. at in East Hampton.

According to Linda DiCapua, a friend, Penney has developed a rare case of leukemia.

"Due to Ray's condition, Great Caesar's Band decided to do a benefit," she said.

Performing will be Great Ceasar's Band with Toby Walker and a special appearance will be made by Butch Truck, drummer for the Allman Brothers.

Tickets are $25 and will be sold at the door. Donations are also being accepted and can be mailed to Ray Penney C/O Great Caesar's Ghost PO Box 29 Bridgehampton, NY 11932.
