Prevention, Screening, and Health Care Maintenance

On Sunday March 13, the Riverhead Free library  will host a special day to learn preventative, screening, and health care maintenance. This event is open to all ages. 

This event will address the following issues:

What to Expect at your Colonoscopy,  Women's Health: What to Expect at your Pap/Mammo/Breast Exam, Men's Health: What to Expect at your Prostate Exam, Health Care Maintenance for Diabetics, Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes for Hypertension and Hyperlipidemia, Lung Disease/Smoking Cessation, Stroke Screening and Blood Pressure checks, Fall Risk Assessment / Bone Health, Skin Safety, Depression and Anxiety, Hearing Screening, Planning for End of Life Care with Advanced Directives/Palliative Care,   Therapeutic Exercise,  Outdoor Safety, Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and Acupuncture.

There will be a special Osteopathic Manipulation area just for kids.  

Doctors and nurses will check blood pressure, perform hearing screens, BMI calculations and fall risk assessments.
