Intergenerational Family Service

Multi-generational Family ServiceAt North Fork Reform SynagogueWelcomes children, parents & grandparents Saturday, February 5th, a special Shabbat Service (10 AM) is planned to broaden our NFRS (North Fork Reform Synagogue) connections on the East End. Family time together is becoming too rare. All Jewish families are invited; mixed marriages, unaffiliated folks or members in another location if this is your second home. Bring children and grandchildren, aunts and uncles, too, to this special Service located where NFRS shares its home with Cutchogue Presbyterian Church on the Main Road, Rt. 25 across from the Cutchogue Village Green. We have members from Manorville to Shelter Island and Orient. Come and meet them.Rabbi Ilene Haigh will keep the program  simple. The Torah will be taken out and a small section of the weekly Torah portion (parshah) will be read. You can also ask about our venerable Holocaust Torah rescued from the town of Tabor when it was invaded by Nazis. Then we will have a Kiddush (refreshment time) downstairs in the Community Room. Enjoy getting acquainted over bagels, cream cheese, coffee, challah, juice, etc.NFRS teaching staff, Barbara Sheryll and Helene Ciappetta, will attend to the younger children by showing them small Torahs and educational items, explaining their meaning, and then starting them on craft projects. For information please call 631 (722-5712). More about NFRS on www.northforkreformsynagogue.org.
