Join us on Saturday, July 2 in the Wine Garden at the Comtesse Thérèse Bistro for an exhibition of several local Long Island artists.  Enjoy a complimentary glass of Comtesse Thérèse merlot as you stroll amidst the wisteria, herb garden and grapevines while viewing original oil paintings, metal sculptures, and photographs.

  • Eileen Sanger is a founding member of "the Long Island Plein Air Painters Society". Her award-winning “modern impressionist” oil paintings featuring North Fork landscapes, farmscapes, and seascapes adorn the interior walls of the Bistro’s dining rooms. A devotee of Long Island wines, she and her husband enjoy visiting the vineyards and making their own wines at one of the local vineyards. www.eileensanger.com
  • Chris Gordon specializes in acrylic landscapes and vineyard miniatures, one of which is on the back of Comtesse Thérèse 2005 vintage of red wines. She also painted the “New York State”  Easter Egg which is part of the White House’s fifty-state Easter Egg collection, and her work was featured on the cover of Dan’s Papers. She is a Long Island Wine Ambassador, along with her husband Rich, volunteering many hours of service to the Long Island Wine Council. 
  • Howard Krieger is a computer techie with a passion for exotic travel, photography and wine. His travels to off-the-beaten destinations in China, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Peru and elsewhere have yielded unique portraits of the indigenous populations against a backdrop of beautiful geographies.www.howardkrieger.com
  • Shelter Island native Hap Bowditch Jr. is self-taught is his craft of metal sculpting. A mechanic turned welder, he learned the practical side of welding 25 years ago while servicing heavy equipment. As one reviewer has said, “The fluidity of his medium is capturing.
