Eastern Long Island Hospital's car raffle raises approximately $25,000 for patient services each year.
An annual tradition eagerly anticipated by the North Fork community is back.
Now through May 17, tickets are being sold for the eighth annual Eastern Long Island Hospital Car Raffle, co-sponsored by Mullen Motors.
Tickets cost $50 each, and the winner can choose between a brand-new 2013 Dodge Dart or $10,000 cash. The drawing will take place on May 17 at noon.

Last year's winner, Peter Troyan of Aquebogue, drove away with a 2012 Chrysler 200.
Troyan, who was born at Eastern Long Island Hospital in 1947, said, after winning, that he felt very lucky. “I’ve never won anything this big,” he said.
The annual fundraiser is organized by members of the hospital's auxiliary, a group of volunteers who help with various fundraisers and tasks at Eastern Long Island Hospital.
The raffle, sponsored by Mullen Motors, raises approximately $25,000 for patient services each year.
