Crowds Turn Out for 'Dances In the Park'

Golden Fists of Fury performed Monday night.

Hundreds of people, young and old, packed Mitchell Park in Greenport Monday night for a popular free concert series that many consider one of the most highly anticipated events of the summer.

Scores of fun-seekers donned their dancing shoes and grooved for hours to the funk, ska, and reggae sound of the Golden Fists of Fury.

Many brought picnics and beach chairs to enjoy the music and watch the dancing throngs.

The concerts are scheduled for Monday nights throughout the summer from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
