Award Winning Bluegrass Band to Play Sylvester Manor

Blue Highway will play a special performance at the Shelter Island educational farm.

Interested in contemporary bluegrass music? 

Shelter Island will host one of the most popular bluegrass bands in the country. Blue Highway will perform at the nonprofit Sylvester Manor Educational Farm on Saturday, Sept. 3 

The historic farm will serve as a backdrop will to the Grammy-nominated band. Blue Highway has been performing together since 1994 and has released nine albums to date and has received many awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association.

Combined Jason Burleson, Rob Ickes, Shawn Lane, Tim Stafford, and Wayne Taylor are the musicians and writers that make up Blue Highway. 

This concert will take place rain or shine. Please bring lawn chairs, blanket and a picnic dinner. Enjoy the grounds. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online. The gate opens at 3:30 p.m.
