Antiques Store Owners Donate Contents Of Store for Charity Tag Sale

The contents of an antiques sale will be up for grabs at a tag sale to benefit those in need.

Call it a tag sale with heart.

An antiques tag sale benefitting Community Action of Southold Town, an organization that helps those in need, will be held on June 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., behind the Greenport Heights Deli.

Southold Town Trustee Mike Domino and his wife Joy, Greenport business owners, have donated the entire contents of their former antiques store to sell at the tag sale -- with all proceeds to benefit CAST.

The "everything and the kitchen sink sale" has the board of CAST, a not-for-profit food pantry and assistance organization, thrilled.

"Joy and I have always admired the work that CAST does for the community and as we move forward in this new phase of our lives, could not think of an organization more worthwhile to donate these items to," Mike Domino said.

The sale will include glass oil lamps, brass beds, display cases, china, silver, flatware, barn equipment, frames, jewelry, bookshelves, wool spinning wheels and wooden objects d’art.

The Greenport Heights Deli is located at 74365 Main Road, Greenport. For more information, call, 310-245-3131.
