At Sannino Bella Vita Vineyard, the Vine to Wine Program is one of the most important elements of what the Sannino’s offer. Harvest is the official commencement of the year-long educational process, taking the grapes from the vine to the crush, through fermentation, tasting, blending and ultimately to the bottle.
On Saturday, October 6th, 2012 members will begin this Vine to Wine journey. Harvesting will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. They will pick merlot andthen crush at the Peconic Lane winery. Members will then return two weeks later to press the grapes.
It promises to be a busy, festive atmosphere with a light breakfast and hot lunch served as well as live music playing throughout the afternoon.
