Coming from the North Fork, there are days you just don't want to take that roadtrip into Riverhead.
There are some stores for children on the North Fork — one being Renee's which at times can be helpful if you choose to go there. Greenport used to have a kid's store, but I am not so sure if they still do.
Another kids store would be wonderful on the North Fork — but where? So when you do decided to enter into Riverhead, for young girls there are stores like Justice, now having a sale of 40 percent off on some items, Charlotte Russe with beautiful blazers for girls, as well as Express located in Tanger Factory Outlets. I think it was Tanger 2, but don't hold me to that as I always get one and two mixed up.
Taking that extra trip can be worth while. There prices are cheaper, on sale, and you have many stores to pick from. But having the luxury of a closer store is nice as well. I think I have been to Tanger a few times in the past two weeks, and they are very helpful.
I used to shop at Caldor as a child, K-mart, and bought simple clothes, but the kids today definitely have an opinion on what clothes they want to wear, where they want to shop, and how they want to look. Hope they will get a J.C. Penny's or a Macy's in Riverhead. I did see a sign for Costco the other day.
Costco coming to Riverhead — how exciting is that? The new Lowe's that came to Riverhead — I still have yet to enter that store. But I do tend to use the new 7-Eleven in Mattituck. What a wonderful place. Lots of new things coming to town not to mention a lot of stores closing. But it all evens out somehow.
