Question of the Day: Where Do You Go For Your Fresh Produce?

With farm stands in full swing stocked with plenty of delicious fruits and vegetables, North Fork Patch wants to know where you go for your local produce.

Dozens of farm stands filled with locally harvested produce have their doors open across the North Fork this time of year. North Fork Patch popped into a couple of Peconic farm stands to take a look at what's fresh and ready to go this week.

Do you have a favorite farm stand you're always returning to for the fruits and veggies? If so, why do you go there? Or are you the type who likes to go farm standing hopping?

Let us know in the comment boxes below.

Far and away, the Best produce stand is Barb's in Peconic! Best freshness, Best variety and hands down Best Prices! They are very friendly, honest and helpful.. the entire family is involved in farming and food! And they have recipes
for the price of asking!

Krupski's (maybe not certified organic, but they don't spray) including their little stand on Skunk Lane, Barb's, Farmer Mike's, Wickham's...the places where the farmers sell what they grow. Sang Lee is fantastic, but too expensive for me, even if it's worth it.

Farmer Cooper in Mattituck!

And while I hate to fork over the big bucks at Sang Lee, I cannot resist it.

Sep's in East Marion and Latham's in Orient and in Greenport. Generations of family farming is part of what makes the North Fork special.
