Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Question: Are You One of Our Brooklyn Readers? Please Say Hello

Recent Facebook statistics indicate that North Fork Patch has a significant audience from the NYC borough.

We here at North Fork Patch love charts and stats. There are several out there for us to get a general grasp of who is clicking on what stories, what searches these clicks are coming from, etc. And now that Facebook has launched similar charts, we're seeing that top hits on our North Fork Patch Facebook page are coming from Southold, Riverhead and ... Brooklyn.

Brooklyn ... now that's an interesting third-largest place for clicks to be coming from. We understand the appeal of Patch sites like ours to tourists and those daydreaming about being out here among the vines and coastline — are the majority of those people daydreaming in a Brooklyn office?

Please give a shout out here or on Facebook if you're one of our Brooklyn fans. We'd love to hear from you and how you discovered North Fork Patch.

I'm probably not part of that statistic; I read NF Patch via RSS. But yes, I'm in Brooklyn; we own a place in Southold, although we spend most of the year here in the city. I love NF Patch for connecting me to my down-island home.

Nassau... I know, not as exciting as Brooklyn, but we also have, make that had as of last week. a house in Cutchogue. My husband spent summers out there since he was 9 (40+ yrs ago) and his parents lived there full time since ~ 1980. They moved away last year, and the Patch helped us rediscover the North Fork while it was on the market. You also kept us updated during storms, letting us know the house was likely still standing after Irene. Thanks. Patch, we may be signing off soon. (but Bellmore Patch still rocks!)

For years, most of my life in fact(!), I have lived in city (Brooklyn), but summered in NoFo... back before the Internet, with Greenport just a very quiet, very tired little fishing town.. with the wine just a thought, pumpkins and greens the primary crops... now, such a lively place, with farms, and traffic (not my fav part of the change), and tons to see and do... and I appreciate the online access to the towns across the area given us by this Patch! Thank you, Erin!

Haha -- Even though I lived in Queens for only two weeks when I went back to school, I know what you're saying, Claudia!
