Cars Line Roads at BPs, Valero; More Deliveries Expected Soon

Lines are long in Cutchogue, Mattituck and Peconic for gas late Sunday morning.

With deliveries made to the North Fork last night and early this morning, limited gas is available through about 2 or 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon, according to local station managers.

The BP station on Route 25 in Mattituck, the Valero in Cutchogue and the BP on Route 25 in Peconic had cars lining up along the sides of roads to allow thru traffic to flow Sunday afternoon. Mattituck BPย  manager Recep Zaim said he expected another delivery late Sunday / early Monday, and that the station was down to premium only as of about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Frank Ligan, a manager at the full-serve Empire Station in Mattituck, was out of gas on Sunday but said he'd be pumping gas starting early Tuesday afternoon. The same is true for the Patriot Station in Greenport, according to one worker there.
